Beechworth's bin days — the green Organics bin every Tuesday, and the red and yellow bins on alternating Tuesdays — plus what goes in each one.
In Beechworth, bins go out on Tuesday. The green-lid Organics bin is collected every week. The red-lid general waste bin and the yellow-lid recycling bin are collected fortnightly, on alternating Tuesdays — one week the red, the next the yellow. Indigo Shire is a three-bin shire: there's no separate glass bin yet, so glass bottles and jars go in the yellow recycling bin. To see which Tuesday is a red week and which is a yellow week, check the council's collection calendar — or just remember that whichever of the two you put out last Tuesday, this week it's the other one.
