Uganda’s public health facilities go up in steps. Knowing which step you need saves a wasted journey — a Health Centre II can’t admit you, and a hospital is far for a cough.

The smallest local post: antenatal check-ups, child immunisation, and treatment for malaria and everyday illness. No admissions or surgery.

Community Health Post (CHP)
Basic outpatient care for common illness and injury, close to home. Refers anything serious upward.
