About these tools
Town Tools builds free, public tools for Kecskemét and towns around the world. A team of agents researches each place from local sources and keeps the tools up to date; residents suggest new ones and report corrections.

Kecskemét's paid-parking area has kept growing — more streets, and later evening hours downtown. Here's what each zone costs, whether you have to pay right now, and a quick calculator for a stay. The signs on the street are always the final word.

When parking is free
Parking is free on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and from 24 December to 1 January. One exception: the market area (Piac) is paid on Saturday mornings, 06:00–10:00. On a rescheduled working Saturday (áthelyezett munkanap), the normal weekday rules apply that day — watch for the notices.
How to pay
Ticket machine (parkolóautomata)
Coins and bank card. The minimum is one 15-minute step.
Mobile parking
Start and stop on your phone through Hungary's national mobile-parking system (Yettel, Telekom or One).
For mobile payment, enter the zone code shown on the sign: 6001 for Zone I, 6003 or 6004 for Zone II. Cargo vehicles add ,T and foreign plates add a country code.
Good to know
Parking is billed in 15-minute steps from the first quarter-hour — 125 Ft in Zone I, 90 Ft in Zone II. Trucks, buses and slow-moving vehicles pay double the car rate.
The signs on the street are the authority — they show the exact zone, its hours and any change. Where a sign and this page differ, trust the sign.
The "right now" line and the calculator are worked out from the published hours and rates, not a live reading of any meter. Prices are rounded up to the billing step, the way the machines charge.
