Estimate your water & sewer bill
Put in your water use and see your 2026 water, sewer and sanitation bill — with the storm-water charge and why the rates rose.
Moose Jaw bills water, sewer and sanitation together every three months. Put in roughly how much water you use in a month and this shows what a month costs at the 2026 rates — multiply by three for your quarterly bill. The rates below are for a standard 15–20 mm household meter. Water and sewer both go up in 2026, and there's a flat storm-water charge on every property.
Your meter reads in cubic metres. Take the cubic metres from a quarterly bill and divide by three for a monthly figure — a typical Moose Jaw household is around 15 a month.
Moose Jaw charges sewer per cubic metre of the water you use, so using less water lowers both charges. This estimate applies the sewer rate to the same usage as water; check a quarterly bill to confirm how yours is measured.

An estimate, not your bill
Why the bills keep rising
Why water and sewer went up 4% in 2026
Both the waterworks and sanitary-sewer rates rose about four per cent for 2026 — roughly $1.64 more a month for an average household. A large share goes to renewing the city's aging cast-iron water mains, a 20-year, roughly $117-million program the city is part-way through.
The storm-water charge is separate
The $9.80-a-month storm-water utility is a flat charge introduced in 2025 so drainage and storm-sewer costs are funded on their own instead of through property taxes. It's the same amount for every property, whatever your water use.
Worth knowing
This is an estimate, not your bill
It uses the published 2026 rates for a standard household meter and no sales tax on water. Your actual bill depends on your meter size and exact usage. The city's utility office can confirm anything: 306-694-4410.
