Garbage and compost: two carts, every other week
Most single-family homes have a black cart (garbage) and a green cart (organics), collected on alternating weeks. Carts must be out by 7:00 a.m. on collection day. Recycling is not curbside — drop cardboard, paper, glass, cans and hard plastics at a Blue Bin Station, and return bottles and cans to the Bottle Shop depot for the deposit.

Potholes, a missed cart, a full Blue Bin Station, streetlights and similar non-urgent issues go through the City's Click and Fix YK service rather than the main phone line.
