Cruise Ship Days
Whether a cruise ship is in port and how busy downtown will be — today, this week, and the schedule ahead.
Cruise ships dock at the Port of Astoria and shuttle passengers downtown. Locals use ship days to time errands; shop owners use them to staff up. This is the Port's published schedule — whether a ship is in today, and what's coming.
Where the crowds land
Shuttle buses unload passengers along Commercial Street downtown. A big ship day brings a lot of foot traffic — though one downtown shop owner told The Astorian it doesn't always mean a lot of sales. Passenger numbers are a ship's approximate capacity, not a head count of who actually goes ashore.
