The season runs October–April; it opens again in October. Bandipur is not flown in the monsoon months (roughly June to September), when cloud, rain and gusty air move in. The days below are the general weather for the area.

This page describes the wind and weather for the launch area from a ~10 km weather model. It is not a measurement at the launch, and it is not a judgement that flying is safe or possible. Only a licensed operator and pilot decide whether to fly, in the moment. Flights are called off in rain, low cloud, or strong or gusty wind. Book through an operator, and let them make the call. The model is read at the town point, not the exact launch — treat it as the wind over the area, and read direction as a plain fact, not a good or bad sign.

A thermic ridge that builds through the day
Bandipur's launch sits on Gurungche Hill, by the Thani Mai temple about fifteen minutes above the bazaar. It is a thermic ridge site: the air activates and the lift builds through the day, so tandem flights usually run from late morning into the afternoon rather than at dawn. When to launch is the operator's call on the day.
Flights are arranged through a licensed operator, who decides whether the day is flyable. This page does not book flights.
