Parking & arriving
Where to park a car or coach, the costs, and the free grace period.
Where to leave a car or a coach, what it costs, and the free grace period. Figures below were checked against the official town parking pages on 13 June 2026; prices can change, so the source links are the place to confirm.
Where can I park a car?
There are several numbered, barrier-controlled car parks around the centre:
P1 Jelení zahrada — about 240 spaces. P2 Pod poštou — about 180 spaces. P3 Městský park — about 174 spaces. P5 Autobusové nádraží (bus station) — about 117 spaces.
There are also smaller areas: P4 Zámecká zahrada (about 80 spaces, with parking meters rather than a barrier) and P7 Chvalšinská for caravans.
Is there a free period?
Yes. At the barrier-controlled lots you can drive out within 40 minutes free of charge — useful for a quick drop-off or pickup. After that you pay by the hour.
What does it cost per hour?
It varies by lot. As checked in June 2026: P1 Jelení zahrada is 60 CZK per hour; P2 Pod poštou and P3 Městský park are 40 CZK per hour; P5 at the bus station is 30 CZK per hour. Confirm the current rate on the sign at the lot or on the official parking page before relying on a figure.
Where do coaches go?
Coaches drop off and pick up passengers at the BUS-STOP terminal. You can reserve a slot online in advance (up to 12 months ahead) at busstop.busparking.cz — a reservation is recommended rather than strictly required, as it guarantees your time slot. Between drop-off and pickup, coaches park at the peripheral P-BUS lot on Chvalšinská, about 400 m from the BUS-STOP terminal (about 31 spaces).
What does coach parking cost?
At the P-BUS lot the rate is 100 CZK for each started hour, capped at 500 CZK for 24 hours (checked June 2026). The lot has a rest room with a kitchenette, WiFi, toilets and a shower for drivers. Confirm current prices on the official coach-parking site before you travel.
