The town's busiest regular event — crowds grew large enough that the council brought in crowd-control rules. Arrive before 9:00 a.m. for a park; overflow parking spills into Bridport, Albert and Vincent streets. Quietest in the first hour.

Australia's largest regional LGBTQIA+ pride festival, drawing tens of thousands of visitors over the Labour Day long weekend. The 30th-anniversary edition runs Thursday 4 to Monday 8 March 2027. Expect the town at its fullest — book accommodation early and plan to walk rather than drive in the centre.
