The train: the Atlantic Coast Line to Par
Newquay's branch line runs to Par, where you change for the main line to St Austell, Truro, Plymouth, Exeter and London. Since the Mid Cornwall Metro upgrade opened on 17 May 2026 there's a train about every hour — the best service the town has had in decades — and the trip to Par takes about 50 minutes. Through the summer some trains run direct between Newquay and London Paddington.
Great Western Railway runs every service; check live times before you travel.
