NHS dental prices are fixed national bands
From 1 April 2026 you pay £27.90 (Band 1), £76.60 (Band 2) or £332.10 (Band 3) — the same at any NHS dentist. Many people pay nothing: under-18s, pregnant people and those on certain benefits get free treatment.
A real emergency is 999 or A&E, not a dentist
If you have heavy bleeding from the mouth that won't stop, spreading facial swelling with trouble breathing or swallowing, or a serious injury to the face or head, call 999 or go to A&E. Don't wait for a dental appointment.
