Two things bring most visitors to Yaremche: the Probiy waterfall in the middle of town and the Carpathian National Nature Park trails that start nearby. Here is how each actually works.
Stay off the wet rocks at Probiy
The current is fast and the boulders above the falls are very slippery. People climbing onto wet rocks for photos have died here — a 14-year-old girl in October 2013, a 20-year-old man in July 2015. Stay on the bridge and the marked viewpoints. Jumping from the bridge is dangerous; the paid rope-jumping run from it is the operators' business, not an invitation to jump yourself.
